The Constitutional Court has rejected the request of Sali Berisha for the exclusion of judge Marsida Xhaferllari from the review for the security measure against him "obligation to appear".

Berisha claimed that Xhaferllari was the cohabitant of MP Enkeljed Alibeaj, and her consideration of the case, according to him, constituted a conflict of interest.

The decision to reject Berisha's request was made by a majority of votes. The request was dismissed as, according to the panel of 7 judges, it was not based on evidence.

The review of Berisha's request to declare the "house arrest" measure unconstitutional will take place on November 19.

We remind you that GJKKO imposed the mandatory appearance measure for the former prime minister accused of corruption and money laundering, a measure that turned into "house arrest" after it was not respected by him.
