Taulant Balla held his first statement as Minister of the Interior where he gave orders to the leaders of the State Police. Balla made it clear to the police leaders that which deputy interferes in their work, they have the duty to address him.

'I will give each of you the opportunity to work together. It has happened in the past that my successors have started their duties by changing managers and bosses. I don't see fit to judge one of you from the height of my duty. I am here to guide you, to support you and to hear from you. Of course, the fact that I take the baton from a colleague and friend of mine known for his seriousness and correctness, makes it easier for me than if I had to start from scratch.

Whoever is willing to do this along the lines of this common front will have my unreserved support. Whoever does not show the willingness to work together, to go beyond himself, will find it impossible to stay in the position he has. No MP should interfere with your work. Any MP who interferes with you will not be tolerated. You have the duty to listen respectfully whenever the phone rings from any deputy, but in any case that interferes with the performance of your duty, direct the deputy to me. The intervention is unacceptable.' - said Balla.
