Today, the Special Prosecutor's Office asked the Parliament of Albania to remove the immunity of the former Deputy Prime Minister, Arben Ahmetaj, in order to arrest him for three criminal charges.

And while the lawyer of the former deputy prime minister stated that he was in Albania, the journalist Artan Hoxha, invited to the show "The Unexposed", insists that Ahmetaj is not in the territory of Albania. According to the journalist, he left for a neighboring country and crossed the border on Friday.

"During today, from the moment when the news came out that SPAK's request was sent to the Assembly for the immunity of Ahmetaj, the first question and the first verification we tried to do was Mr. Ahmetaj's location.

From the contact I had today, it turns out that he is not in Albania, but we will see this tomorrow, when he will have to appear in the offices of the Assembly, during the time that he will be considered

On Friday he moved from Albania. It is registered in the TIMS system. He passed with an Albanian passport and moved to an EU country, on the border with Albania.

Today it was said that it is within the territory, I followed the lawyer's reaction carefully. This will be verified tomorrow. In previous cases, we have seen that when the request was addressed to the Assembly, they appeared in the session.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ahmetaj doesn't show up. If we follow other precedents, Mr. Koka and Blako. Mr. Koka has been in prison for two years and has never been questioned. It's two years in. He did not hide from the arrest even though he was notified in advance. It's been two years and there hasn't been a first-instance court decision," Hoxha declared.
