The former director of the city's hospital, Irini Shehu, was arrested this evening in Dibër.
Shehu was dismissed from his post a few weeks ago after he hit the hospital's chief financial officer with a metal object, following a verbal conflict they had in her office.
The 44-year-old was under investigation after the incident for stalking hospital employees. During this time, she reportedly threatened and insulted employees with messages she suspected had reported her.
It is learned that yesterday, she also had a conflict with the head nurse of the Dibra hospital, Shpresa Biçi, whom she threatened and insulted. The latter filed a complaint with the police.
'The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Dibër Police Commissariat referred the procedural materials to the Prosecutor's Office, for citizen I Sh., 44 years old, resident of Peshkopi (former director of the Dibër Regional Hospital), for the criminal offense of "Stalking". Yesterday, the 44-year-old is suspected of stalking several employees of the Dibër Regional Hospital.', the Dibër police announced.
After this incident, the Prosecutor's Office ordered her arrest, but Shehu, on the pretext that she is ill, has avoided it, at least until now, remaining hospitalized in one of the hospital rooms, where she is guarded by police forces.
