The phone of Ilaria Sula, the Albanian woman killed in Italy three weeks ago, was found in the apartment of her murderous ex-boyfriend.
It was Mark Samson himself who provided the information through his lawyer. According to Italian media, he confessed to hiding it in the apartment where he had executed the Albanian girl.
Initially, the ex-Filipino lover had stated that he had thrown the phone into a well. Finding the phone is considered extremely important for the investigation group to fully unravel the incident. This is because messages were sent from the phone of Ilaria, who was declared missing, to her father's address, stating that she was fine and would return to Albania in a month.
It is precisely these messages, not only to family members, but also to Ilaria's friends, that investigators suspect were sent by 23-year-old Samson with the intention of covering his tracks.
Her Filipino ex-boyfriend stabbed her three times in the neck in an apartment in Rome's African neighborhood, then threw her into a ditch.
His mother, who helped to dispose of the body, is also accused of being an accomplice in this crime. Investigators suspect that the student may have been helped by other people as well.
