The Special Appeal in the GJKKO has rejected the request of MP Belinda Balluuku, for the lifting of the measure of 'suspension from duty', a measure which is no longer in force according to the defense, since Balluku is no longer either Deputy Prime Minister or Minister.
The Special Court signed the decision to 'suspend from duty' for Belinda Balluku on November 19, at a time when Balluku held the position of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy.
Belinda Balluku is accused of the criminal offense of 'violation of equality in tenders' and has been named as a defendant for the construction of the Llogara tunnel, while she is being investigated for the 7 lots of the Grand Ring Road, and is suspected of 3 other tender procedures.
