Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu spoke about SPAK files and the decisions that the special structure issues for files of high importance.

In a link to 'Top Story', lawyer Spahiu stated that the prosecution is afraid to investigate certain criminal offenses, and according to him, there are even some subjects who have been summoned for questioning for certain issues after many years.

"Since we are at a table followed by a sensitive public, I would like to clarify that the end of big cases will be like small files. So, everyone is equal before the law and the court. I understand that the public is waiting for senior politicians. SPAK's work is measured by arrests: when it arrests it is a success, when it does not arrest it is wrong. At this moment, SPAK's work, failure or success will be measured by court decisions. So, all these big files, this is the moment of the test of legal evidence.

There is a problem: Albania ranks last in Europe for declaring innocence. In Albania, mainly the courts accept the prosecution's accusations. I do not think that Albanian prosecutions work with a stronger quality than European ones. Today, those who work in SPAK must understand that we have a new reality. Before SPAK was created, the political pressure was extraordinary. The Parliament has dismissed 4 chief prosecutors, 2 presidents of the Criminal Court, and dismissed 3 presidents of the Supreme Court. For some criminal offenses, the prosecution is still afraid, there are subjects who have been summoned for questioning after 15 years", said Spahiu.
