The head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, reported today before the High Council of Prosecution on the activity of SPAK for the year 2023.

Chief Prosecutor Dumani presented ten very serious issues, which must be addressed as soon as possible, as they seriously undermine the independence of prosecutors and determine the continuation of the fight against corruption and organized crime in Albania.

Duman also reported on achievements and challenges, which were widely covered in the media.

According to Article 149 / a of the Constitution, the KLP appoints and dismisses SPAK prosecutors. The head of SPAK reports to the KLP. So, KLP is a body above SPAK.

During today's meeting, KLP members, instead of addressing the issues presented by Duman and demanding accountability for any SPAK prosecutor who has been sleeping on the file for two years (such as the case of Ilir Meta's files), or even to draw attention to extreme security measures in relation to suspected criminal acts, or to the consumption of energy for corruption files for a wall, channel and kid, they started honoring Altin Duman one after the other.

In the meeting, it seemed as if the KLP members were reporting to the Duman and not the Duman to the KLP members.

The head of SPAK, which in the political, media and diplomatic circles has started to be known as the 'Dibra Squad', seemed embarrassed by the flood of thanks and eulogies from the KLP members, who in every sentence expressed their inferiority, but also reflected the hidden nightmare that one day they would fall into Duman's hands.

Most of the KLP members were so impressed that they were ready to stand up to kiss Duman's hands or be painted in oil when he spoke.

Some of the journalists were left speechless by the servility of the KLP members towards Duman, while others could hardly contain their laughter.

In the end, only the ceremony of signing KLP's vassalage to SPAK was missing. /Backstage
