According to public television ERT, the condition of Archbishop Anastasios of Albania, who has been hospitalized at the Evangelismos hospital for the fifth day, appears serious.
He is now in a separate room, not intubated, but being treated in intensive care. According to the latest information, his condition is assessed by doctors as critical.
As of 6:30 p.m. today, the hospital has not issued a new health statement, but ERT reports that nothing has changed in his health since yesterday evening when His Majesty's condition worsened.
According to hospital sources, his body is strained due to his advanced age, but doctors reiterate that he is not intubated and has contact with the environment.
Yesterday afternoon, the Archbishop was also visited by the Minister of Education and Religion Kyriakos Pierrakakis, the new leader of SYRIZA Sokratis Famelos, as well as many clergy.
The interest of the Albanian community in Greece is also very high, whose members, Orthodox or not, are praying for his speedy recovery.
