Fatal accident in Lushnje

An accident resulting in the injury of one person occurred this morning on the highway bypass in Lushnja. A Benz-type vehicle hit a person who was crossing from one side of the highway to the other on a bicycle.

After crossing the side iron barrier, he was hit by a Benz, even though the driver of the vehicle tried to avoid it. The 45-year-old, the driver of the bicycle, was seriously injured in both legs and was urgently taken to the Lushnja hospital. The investigation group is working to document and clarify the causes of the accident, while the driver of the vehicle has been escorted.

From initial information, it is suspected that the injured party cut off the path of a Benz vehicle on a road axis secured with side barriers.
