Fatal accident on the Durrës-Rrogozhina axis

An accident resulting in the death of one person was recorded on the Durrës-Rrogozhina axis.

The serious incident occurred around 09:30, where the 72-year-old pedestrian, identified as E.Gj, was hit by a vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle was escorted to the police station.

Police notification

On 09.02.2026, at around 09:30, the vehicle driven by citizen MI, collided with a still unidentified pedestrian on the "Durrës-Rrogozhinë" road, who lost his life as a result. Citizen MI was escorted to the Police premises for further procedural actions, while work continues to identify the citizen who lost his life, as well as to clarify and document the circumstances of the accident.

Following the information provided a few minutes ago, regarding the accident on the "Durrës-Rrogozhinë" axis, we inform that the pedestrian who lost his life, citizen E. Gj., 72 years old, has been identified. Work is underway to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
