The wife of the mayor of Tirana, Ajola Xoxa, reacted today through a long status on social networks to the accusations raised by SPAK against her and to the allusions regarding the alleged amounts for online purchases.

In her clarification, she dismissed as untrue lies everything said in the media on this issue.

Xoxa said she has been targeted by a "political, media and social media trial" without due process.

Explaining the figures, she points out that accounting experts have analyzed all of her online transactions in the last 10 years, and the total expenses for clothing, cosmetics, and accessories come to 75,025 euros.

She also criticized journalists and portals that have taken advantage of a woman's dresses by inflating their value 10-fold.

" I have NEVER owned a Hermes or Chanel bag, as was stated in my public media trial. I don't own dresses or underwear of absurd value, as some journalist has said."

On this occasion, I would like to say that it was an extremely sad confrontation of more than nine hours with the prosecutor, where I realized that my life had become a big mess.

But nothing compares to the bitter sadness that comes from the street level of some portals and journalists, who deal in a woman's dresses or underdresses, inflating their value tenfold, to discredit the enemy like in the time of communism...

I have never felt such great sadness and despair. Terrible.

"Let no one experience, I do not wish this legal and media cruelty on anyone in this country ," Xoxa writes in her explanation.
