GJKKO has convicted the accused for abuse of the tender of 7 million ALL, against whom the accusation of violation of equality in tenders in the Municipality of Durrës is aggravated.

GJKKO sentenced Adriatik Velaj to 11 months in prison for abuse of office, Muhamed Likaxhiu to 10 months in prison for abuse of office, Artan Tahon to 10 months in prison for abuse of office. Gjergj Markola with 10 months in prison for 'violation of equality in tenders', Indrit Matmuja with 11 months in prison for 'violation of equality in tenders', Riza Sulaj with 11 months in prison for 'falsification of stamps', all officials of the Municipality of Durrës .

The guilty declaration of the defendant Adriatik Velaj, for the criminal offense "Abuse of duty", provided by Article 248 of the Criminal Code, and his sentence of 1 (one) year and 5 (five months imprisonment). - In application of Article 406 point 1 of According to the Code of Criminal Procedure, the defendant is reduced by 1/3 of the sentence due to the application of summary judgment, and is finally sentenced to 11 (eleven) months and 10 (ten) days of imprisonment.

-The serving of the sentence starts from the day of arrest on 29.10.2021 and is carried out in a prison of -Prohibition of the right of the defendant to exercise public functions for a period of ordinary security.

2. The guilty declaration of the defendant Muhamed Likaxhiu, for the criminal offense "Abuse of duty", provided by Article 248 of the Criminal Code, and his sentence of 1 (one) year and 4 (four) months imprisonment. Pursuant to Article 406 point 1 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the defendant is reduced 1/3 of the sentence due to the application of summary judgment, and is finally sentenced to 10 (ten) months and 20 (twenty) days of imprisonment. The serving of the sentence starts from the day of arrest on 29.10.2021 and is carried out as usual security.

Prohibition of the right of the defendant to exercise public functions for a period of 5 (five) years.

3. The guilty declaration of the defendant Artan Taho for the criminal offense "Abuse of duty", provided by Article 248 of the Criminal Code, and his sentence is one (one) year and 4 (four) months imprisonment. Pursuant to Article 406 point 1 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the defendant is reduced by 1/3 of the sentence due to the application of summary judgment, and is finally sentenced to 10 (ten) and 20 (twenty) days of imprisonment. The serving of the sentence starts from the day of arrest on 29.10.2021 and is carried out in an ordinary security prison. '- announces GJKKO.
The SPAK operation took place on October 29 when 6 officials of the Municipality of Durrës and 3 employees of private companies were arrested and another was released with the obligation to appear after being accused of abusing a tender with a limit fund of 7 million ALL for the purchase of a car ladder for the Durrës fire brigade, but after the purchase it was out of order. According to SPAK, these persons in cooperation with each other have manipulated the competition in the period May-June 2020.
