The head of the General Prosecutor's Office, Arben Kraja, in his speech to the journalists, said that the race for the head of SPAK is still open, even though Kraja only has a few days left in this position.

Asked if he thinks he has fulfilled all goals and tasks, he said that the best possible work has been done and that this institution is new. 

"New institution, everything has been created from scratch. I believe that the best possible work has been done", he said.

Meanwhile, asked if the arrest of any so-called "big fish" is expected, Kraja said that the work continues every day and mentioned today's case of the indictment of 10 former Lezha district officials, including the former mayor.

Kraja admitted that cases of pressure have been registered against SPAK prosecutors, but said that they are provided with protection as the law provides.

"SPAK prosecutors and judges have difficult cases to deal with, even for organized crime figures. There was pressure, but they have protection as the law provides," he said.
