9 bullets fired at Thimjo Rubati in Saranda, the perpetrators are suspected of

Thimjo alias Sandri Rubati was assassinated yesterday evening in Saranda. It is suspected that the perpetrators, who were masked and wearing diving suits, came from Mit'hat Hoxha Street from the stadium towards the port, shot Thimjo Rubati 9 times with a 9 mm pistol and then turned back to leave the way they came.

They fled the scene towards the beach area in the Baba Rexhepi area and may have then left by speedboat. The motorbike has not yet been found and it is suspected that they took it with them.

The 50-year-old was conscious after the attack, but was unable to identify the perpetrators, as he stated that he did not know the people who shot him.

Police forces have continued checks throughout the night and searches are still ongoing to identify and capture the suspects.
