In the middle of the day, at an hour when the beach is frequented by a large number of citizens, a 7-year-old girl was hit by a boat sailing too close to the seashore.

Arjan Tase, a police officer in Elbasan did not respect the distance from the shore, while sailing with the boat type vehicle, according to the police, he lost control and as a result hit the minor who could not survive the injuries.

The minor girl and her family from Tropoja lived in England while they had come to Albania for vacation.

Immediately after the incident, the blue uniforms of Himara arrested their colleague who was suspended from duty and the Police Supervision Agency has set up a special investigation group.

Tase's dismissal from the ranks of the police was announced by the General Director of Police Gladis Nano, who in his reaction expressed regret for the incident saying that it is a double responsibility, both institutional and human.

This is the third incident in a few days where jet skis crash into vacationers on the country's beaches. Just a few days ago, another child was hit by a boat on the beach of Jonufra in Vlora, while a couple was hit by a dinghy on the coast of Jala, and they were injured.
