'200-300 euros to go up', the prostitution SCHEME in Tirana is broken

The police have placed in handcuffs two pimps who allegedly brought 5 Chinese citizens to Albania with the promise that they would employ them in massage centers, but used them for prostitution.

During the coded operation "Red Light 3", the 45-year-old woman with the initials AW and the 30-year-old man with the initials Zh were arrested. Y., , for the criminal offenses "Trafficking of adults", "Exploitation of prostitution" and "Maintaining premises for prostitution", committed in collaboration.

It is suspected that they have brought 5 foreign nationals to Albania, who were promised to be employed in massage centers in Albania.

After these citizens arrived in our country, the two arrested used them for prostitution in rented apartments.

The actions showed that the suspected perpetrators advertised Chinese nationals on online sites, found clients and waited for them at the entrance of the palace where prostitution was practiced, and after making payments ranging from 200-300 euros, they sent the clients to the apartment.

In addition, the 5 Chinese nationals were prosecuted for the criminal offense of "Prostitution", as well as for the criminal offense of "Disobedience of the crime", the 62-year-old man with the initials GL, resident in Tirana.

Police notification:

The Section for the Investigation of Illegal Traffic, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, within the framework of a criminal proceeding in August of this year, has finalized the coded police operation "Red Light 3".

During the operation, citizens AW, 45 years old, Zh. Y., 30 years old, for the criminal offenses "Trafficking of adults", "Exploitation of prostitution" and "Owning premises for prostitution", committed in cooperation, provided by articles 110/a, 114 and 115 and 25 of the Criminal Code .

In addition, 5 Chinese nationals were prosecuted for the criminal offense of "Prostitution", provided for by Article 113 of the Criminal Code, as well as for the criminal offense of "Disobedience of crime", a citizen of GL, 62 years old, resident in Tirana.

From the investigative actions carried out in the framework of the proceedings, it was found that the citizens AW and Zh. Y., in cooperation with each other, have brought to Albania, 5 foreign citizens, who were promised that they would employ them in massage centers in Albania. After these citizens arrived in our country, the two arrested used them for prostitution in rented premises (apartments).

From the investigative actions, it was legally documented that the suspected perpetrators advertised on online sites, citizens who used them for prostitution, found clients, waited for them at the entrance of the building where prostitution was practiced and after making payments ranging from 200-300 euros, they sent clients to the apartment.

Tirana Police thanks the investigative show "STOP" for the cooperation in this case, as well as invites the media and the public to denounce any case of illegality.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office.
