There are 18 cases of trityl attacks in Albania this year. Saturday's assassination of Aleksandër Sadikaj is the first with consequences for people.

The 27-year-old lost his life at noon on Saturday after his "Volkswagen" type car exploded while moving from the tritium placed in it.

In 4 cases explosives were placed in vehicles or apartments of police officers.

Professor of criminology Ervin Karamuço in an interview he gave a few days ago for Euronews Albania, described the situation as alarming.

According to him, an inventory of tritol should be made and an investigation that will reveal where this amount of explosives is provided.

Aleksandër Sadikaj initially showed signs of life, but could not survive the wounds received.

For the last 11 years, Sadikaj has been declared wanted by three different police stations and was arrested once in 2011.
