Erjon Goxhara and Lorenc Kosta

The 46-year-old operative Erjon Goxhara is still on the run, despite negotiations with colleagues and family members, including a conversation calling for the surrender of Tirana's chief police officer, Tonin Vocaj. 

Goxhara, father of two children, is in a serious psychological condition after firing 6 bullets at Lorenc Kosta, the 45-year-old who had a relationship with the policeman's wife, a fact accepted by his wife after being questioned by investigators, according to journalist Keti Banushi.

The extramarital story seems to have come to life in the workplace, as Kosta is an electrical engineer at the Energy Regulatory Authority, the same state institution, where the employee's wife also works as a lawyer.
