Dritan Dajti has filed another request for release from the cell. 

Dajti has been sentenced to life imprisonment and claims to have completed his 25-year prison term before the Supreme Court sentenced him to life imprisonment.

Dritan Dajti was handcuffed in 2009 for the charge of "murder in other qualifying circumstances", committed against police officers Fatos Xhani, Sajmir Duçkollari, Altin Dizdari, Kastriot Feskaj.

In that event, Dajti's friend, Ledion Mara, was also killed, as well as a vacationer was injured, but Dajti has continuously denied the accusations, claiming that he fired a gun in self-defense without knowing that the 4 victims were policemen.

In no court session, Dritan Dajti did not admit that he killed the four police officers on purpose, but emphasized that in the fight that day he was in self-defense.
