Eris Cani, the Albanian woman who lost her life after the powerful explosion that hit the building in Athens, was reportedly expecting a sweet surprise, but fate had written a different story for her. Along with her husband, Florin, and her sister-in-law, Florida, Erisa died after the building collapsed due to a gas leak.

According to newsbomb.gr, it is learned that Erisa and Florin had just gotten married, were expecting their child, who was waiting to complete their small family, but their honeymoon vacation turned into tragedy.

"Florin and Eris were very excited because they were expecting their first child, a girl. They were very excited to become parents," a friend of the victims, identified as Nikoleta Gjoni, said in an interview given to newsbomb.gr.

As she speaks, amidst pain and tears, about her friends who tragically lost their lives, Nikoleta remembers them as kind, educated, and very helpful people. She reveals that Florida was a lawyer and a lady.
