18-year-old Florian Matraku has passed away, despite the intervention of doctors and treatment in the intensive care unit of Korça Hospital.

The young man was involved in a road accident on the Korça-Maliq national highway, near the intersection of the village of Bulgarec, a few kilometers from Korça.

According to sources, the 18-year-old was trying to cross from one side of the road to the other when he was hit by a vehicle traveling in the direction of Maliq.

The collision was strong and caused serious injuries.

Despite the intervention of the white shirts and efforts to save his life, Florian Matraku was unable to survive the injuries he sustained.

The driver of the vehicle has been escorted to the police station, while traffic experts are working to fully clarify the circumstances and dynamics of the accident.
