Ulsi Manja has appeared triumphant after yesterday's vote on territorial reform.

He says that the socialists became a united fist.

Further, Manja says that the Socialists can get another 90 votes in the Assembly, but at the moment they are not getting any work done.

Manja's post

5 votes and a big disappointment for the opposition party!

Today I have been following the reactions of the opposition party all day. And when I say opposition party, I mean all those who are against the government and the socialist majority, with or without a party.

They are disappointed! Not because Albania will have 46 municipalities out of the 61 it has today. In fact, they don't even care about that! They are disappointed because Edi Rama's socialists did not split, but remained "united" around the Socialist Party, as they themselves say, in an attempt to justify themselves to their supporters, who have been teasing them for 13 years with the same refrain: "Rama is leaving! Today, tomorrow!"

We're sorry to disappoint you, but this shows that you don't know the Socialist Party and the Socialists at all!

The internal differences with our two colleagues, as they themselves explained, were related to the process and depth of the Territorial Reform 2.0, but not to its necessity. As I myself have publicly stated in the committee and in Parliament, I am for 36 municipalities, maintaining the already established standard for minority municipalities. Because in the SP, debate is not weakness, but strength. And unity does not exclude a different opinion!

How pathetic to think that Sali Berisha, after playing all the tricks of political diversion last night, from putting socialist MPs in the chair, to attacks on the honest business of his colleague Vullnet Sinaj, to the instrumentalization of the historical and cultural identity of the merging municipalities, ultimately failed!

Now he is trying to justify the failure with the next tale about Rama's alleged threats against Socialist MPs.

But Berisha didn't just fail inside the Parliament hall. He suffered his greatest political failure outside it! The protest he had called to surround the Parliament did not achieve what he intended. And this is his real political defeat!

Twice disappointed: by the unity of the socialists within the Parliament and by the lack of support he expected outside it!

This shows how superficially he knows the Socialist Party, its political and social cohesion. The PS is a party of Albanians, not a party made up of pieces on the street!

Pity also for those who were rubbing their hands together last night, running from one television studio to another, hoping that the Socialist Party did not have the 84 votes!

But the Assembly's electronic scoreboard recorded 85 VOTES!

And, with the way the opposition is mixing, don't be surprised if one day we become 87 or even 90! Although, to be clear, we don't need them!

We're sorry, but we can't help you! Neither the opposition, nor its courtiers, nor those who had pinned their hopes on the division of the socialists!

The Socialist Party knows how to debate, knows how to decide and, above all, knows how to stay united when it comes to the country's interest!

We will not abandon the reforms we have promised. We did not abandon them yesterday and we will not abandon them tomorrow!

This is us. This is the PS!
