Albania took the lead in the 11th minute with Qazim Laçi's goal, while the Croatians equalized through Kramaric in the 74th and Klaus Gjasula's own goal two minutes later.

However, Gjasula made up for his mistake in the fifth minute of added time as Zlatko Dalic conceded that Albania were the better side. Croatia's coach seems to have complained about these episodes in extra minutes and game delays by Croatian players.

"This is a tournament in which it is important to get through the group, the impression you will make is not so important. We did not expect such a difficult match", declared the coach of Croatia.

"The World Cup was two years ago, the players are older now. In this tournament, everyone fights hard, but wins. Portugal against the Czech Republic, England against Serbia... It's even."

"We made a bad decision, retreated and conceded a goal and almost a third. We didn't have to back down (2-1 down), you told them to go for the third goal and every time they put pressure, we were good. They did everything from long balls and this extra time was a disaster for us."

Two completely different parts. First again bad, we concede a goal and then we can't do anything. The opponent is motivated, dangerous on the counter, and we make a lot of mistakes and the second goal was in the air.

"In the second half we were much better, we changed some things and exploded to reach 2-1. During those 45 minutes, the opponent did not pass through the center and then we let them attack. The most important thing is that we are still alive and that the last match decides everything", added Dalic.
