Elseid Hysaj was one of the most criticized footballers after the match with Italy.
Lowering his head, in the second goal with Italy, put him in the center of attention, which forced him to close social networks.
But at the end of the match with Croatia, where the national team managed to get 1 point, Hysaj went to the fans, who did not spare him applause.
Hysaj thanked the fans for their support after the public lynching that was done to him after the match against Italy. He said that when he goes out on the field with the red and black shirt, he fights to give his best.
"After all that has happened, I had to react on the field, show myself because really here we are dealing as if we have been here for 10 years and I have passed the time, but in reality I come here to give my best. I want to thank the fans for the support they gave me today. They made me feel proud to be Albanian and I will continue to love you until the end", said Hysaj.
Hysaj said that Albania could have won the match, however we should be happy about this draw.
"The match today showed that we could have won the match, but in the end the draw is not bad ," he said.
Now the eyes are on Spain, for which Hysaj says: With Spain, let's at least try, don't run away from these matches with any fear, give 100% and see what happens.
Albania drew 2-2 against Croatia in the second match of Group B valid for Euro 2024.
