Albania faces Serbia today in a very important match in Group K of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

This is an important match in terms of sport, but undoubtedly also in terms of the emotional aspect of what the challenge in question encompasses, remembering history but also what happened in Belgrade 11 years ago.

Albania has recorded a loss to England and a win against Andorra in the first two matches played, so a positive result, especially a victory over Serbia, would keep them on track to fight for second place, which leads to the World Cup play-offs.

Meanwhile, for Serbia, this is the first qualifier match, as in the March window it participated in the Nations League play-off matches.
