Price, age and salary, Granit Xhaka is further away from Milan
Granit Xhaka

Granit Xhaka is further away from Milan and, for the moment, the chances of the Swiss midfielder from Leverkusen arriving in Milan are low. Xhaka, this has always been known, is a target in violation of Milan's habit, which in recent years has always sought young players, with room to grow and with a low salary. Xhaka has other qualities: he has a great personality, he is very useful with and without the ball, but he is 32 years old and would still bring a significant expense between card and salary. The question was to understand if Milan would make an exception for him, considering that Xhaka has everything to be a pillar of a team in reconstruction, in search of new leaders.

This exception is not on the agenda at the moment. Milan have already reached a handshake with Luka Modric, who is not yet an official purchase, but has long found an agreement with Igli Taren. If all goes as planned, a photo of him in the red and black jersey will appear on social networks at the end of his experience in the Club World Cup with Real Madrid. He will be the experienced player who will be entrusted with the key to Milan's midfield. The rest of the squad will have Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Youssouf Fofana, the two confirmed players from last season, and some under-25s. Samuele Ricci from Turin is close and another purchase could come from Spain.

Javi Guerra and the Milan transfer market

Milan are still in contact with Valencia for Javi Guerra, having made an offer of 20 million, with bonuses included, and could make another during the week. Valencia could soon sell to Arsenal Christian Mosquera, a centre-back previously pursued by Milan, and has so far rejected offers for Javi Guerra. Will they be able to do so even in the face of a proposal between 20 and 25 million? We will find out soon.
