The awarding ceremony with the "Star of Public Recognition" medal for the karate champion at the European Games, Alvin Karaqi, took place today. After being honored with the "Star of Public Appreciation", the Karaqi champion gave a public speech at the start of which, he thanked all those who supported him throughout his life and career.

Strong emotions gripped the karate champion, and for a few moments he was in tears and so were his family members from these moments of pride for them.

"Thank you to all representatives of the Karate Community. Thank you parents, thank you Erza. I won the medal and I received the award, but behind me there is a great team, starting with my parents, my love... You are the reason why I have won. I thank the team and the President very much. I would share this medal with everyone, I have you all in my heart. We must continue and fight for this medal and this flag. We are proud to represent Albania, for the feeling that we are giving to each other. In surgery and in sports, I don't like to talk much. Thank you once again for your presence and support. I wish that all athletes and especially the karate team experience this feeling that I am experiencing. Thank you ".
