Nearly 126 million lek is insufficient for the Competition Authority, which requires additional staff and new premises for this institution.

"From our structure of 49 people, we have recruited some and we have 53 employees, our request for 5 additional employees remains. In the budget requests, we have presented an additional 16.1 million lek for salaries and 1.7 million lek for employees," said Biba.

In the Initiatives Committee, Denar Biba raised concerns about salaries in this institution. 

"I want to bring to your attention the lack of facilities, and the history of the financial treatment of the members of the Competition Commission. It may seem banal, but it is not. My colleague here next door, the "Secretary General of the Competition Authority", has a higher salary than I, who am the chairman of the Competition Authority. And all the directors of the Competition Authority have a higher salary than the members of the commission, although the only signatories who bear legal responsibility are us, the members of the commission", said Biba.

" This issue of salaries makes no sense to me at all, it is unacceptable, or reduce salaries. There is a salary hierarchy, they need to be regulated ," said the chairman of the commission, Fatmir Xhafaj. " We have forwarded this concern about salaries to the relevant institution, it is not in our jurisdiction ," said Vilma Çausholli from the Ministry of Finance.
