Official / Rama will visit Athens, meeting 5 thousand Albanian immigrants
Prime Minister Edi Rama

Rumors about the cancellation of Prime Minister Edi Rama's visit to Athens have died down.

He will be present at an event that will be organized with the participation of about 5,000 Albanian emigrants, as part of the tour that Rama has started for "Meetings with the Diaspora".

The head of the branch of the Socialist Party in Athens, Jan Haxhi, has confirmed Rama's visit, stating that the Greek Foreign Ministry has expressed that the Albanian prime minister is welcome to meet his compatriots.

Earlier in the media it was reported that the Greek authorities were making it difficult for Rama to visit Athens, intervening to prevent permission from being given to the large halls where the event would be organized.

Likewise, his counterpart Qirjako Miçotaqis will not meet with Rama, as he has declared that he will leave the country.
