On the International Day of Freedom of the Press, Prime Minister Edi Rama says that the Albanian government will take all measures to protect the freedom of information, to strengthen the rights of journalists and fight disinformation.

In a reaction on the 'X' platform, Rama also refers to the Reporters Without Borders report, saying that they will carefully analyze all the concerns raised.

"The issue of freedom of information is one of the most important today and I want to thank Reporters Without Borders for their insightful report. We will analyze it carefully, consult with all relevant parties and take further action to improve the media environment, protect freedom of information, fight disinformation and strengthen the rights of journalists. We are deeply troubled by the report's main finding: that media freedom is under threat globally. The Albanian government is ready to take all the necessary responsibilities to help face this trend", writes Rama .
