The Albanian Parliament has resumed its proceedings, now in its second half, after the vote on the request of the DP deputies for the dismissal of the Speaker of the Parliament, Niko Peleshi.

At the start of the second part of the session, DP MP Belind Këlliçi said that in the vote to dismiss Pelesh, opposition MPs wanted to vote, but did not understand what was being voted on at that moment, and asked the Speaker of the Assembly for an answer.

He said that they did not receive any response and the result was 10 votes in favor of dismissal, which according to him, if they had been given an answer about what was being voted on at that moment, the result would have been different.

" First, a little while ago the procedure for the dismissal of the Speaker of the Assembly took place, it is unprecedented what happens when MPs ask what is being voted on and receive no answer.

At the moment the voting process took place, the DP deputies asked what had been put to the vote, and received no answer.

All MPs present were determined to vote in favor of the request, but unable to understand what was being voted on at that moment, some of them did not participate in the vote.

"I think that an agenda with 19 points will lead us to a scenario where, at best, we will reach half of the agenda in the afternoon voting hours. I think we need to economize the time in the Conference of Speakers ," said Këlliçi.
