The head of the Central Election Commission, Ilirjan Celibashi, stated in a press conference that so far the voting process across the country is going normally, while listing some of the problems encountered at the start.

Celibashi : We do not have any unopened or blocked voting centers. There are 8% of the centers that opened late, between 7 am and 8 am.

For 5% of polling centers, it turns out that not all 7 members were present.

It is worth noting that at the moment when the voting process opened, various observers were present.

In 5% of the VCs, we had reports of tensions at the moment of opening between members, which caused delays. The CEC intervened and the situation stabilized.

We have a report related to people with disabilities, about 21% of cases. They were not assisted according to the procedures of the Electoral Code.

After the process began, we had 6% of VCs interrupt the process for logistical reasons, but the situation then normalized.

We have a report that in 5% of VCs we have a failure to respect the distance of 150 m, of individuals who have completed the voting process.

Regarding electronic identification, there are 4 centers without operators. They are in the Dropulli area.

There are 4 voting centers where identification is being done manually.

In general, it results that the problems of the first hours aside, the process is assessed to have started normally and is continuing normally.

We also had some reports from our field staff and political representatives about the presence of candidates for deputies near the VC. Someone, perhaps even unknowingly, did not want to observe, so we also addressed that political statement. Since that moment, we have not had any reports or allegations regarding the issue.

Electronic voting in unit 10 and in Vora is proceeding normally, both in terms of the folding functionality or other problems that may affect the voting process in these 74 VCs.
