The chairman of the DP, Lulzim Basha, held a meeting today with the citizens of unit no. 7 in Tirana and says that he has received the support for Vetting in politics, proposed by him, as the only way to clean up politics.

"Door to door, neighborhood to neighborhood and city to city, to listen to the voice of the citizens, concerns but also to share ideas on how we can get out of this difficult economic situation.

Citizens have welcomed my proposals for vetting in politics to find out who the corrupt politicians are. They want to choose their own deputy and the Albanians living abroad to have the opportunity to vote in the elections from where they live and also for the President to be chosen directly by the people.

Inviolability must be ended for a fairer and more developed Albania.

Albania has a tremendous potential, we just have to transform it for the good of the citizens and not of a group of people connected to the rulers", Basha writes on Facebook.

The chief democrat also focused on the economic situation in this area and talked about the ways out proposed by the Democratic Party.

"The economic situation and immigration are the main problems, as shown by citizens and small business entrepreneurs in the area known as the aviation field. Albania ranks last in Europe for income per capita and with the lowest purchasing power.

Almost 1/3 of Albanians live on about 5 dollars a day. In the conditions of a large increase in prices, including basic foods, these families do not even provide basic food for survival".

Basha also expressed DP's encouragement to SPAK that anyone who has abused money and the trust of Albanians should be held accountable before the law.

"This situation has forced young people to emigrate en masse, while the government continues to take Albanians' money to corrupt concessions, such as incinerators, strelization, etc., money that ends up in the pockets of those in power.

The current practice of turning the country's riches into material goods for a group of people in relation to the government must end. For this reason, we support and encourage SPAK, that anyone who has abused the money and trust of Albanians should answer before the law. The fight against corruption at any level and at any time should be a national priority",  writes Basha .
