The Commissioner for Neighborhood Expansion, Oliver Varhelyi, stated during his speech at the Summit of Western Leaders that Tirana is already a meeting point for the entire region.

He emphasized that the economic growth plan is ambitious and there is half the time left to implement it

Commissioner for Enlargement, Oliver Varhelyi:  The EU must offer all the benefits that membership brings, before you become part of the EU. It is an ambitious plan. We have half the time to implement it, we are confident that you will be able to reap the benefits of this plan.

What you are seeing now is much more than what we will ever be able to see. It is very clear that now for the growth plan, all countries have taken it in hand. But, the region must move forward itself rapidly, those reforms that make this plan functional must be achieved. You can become part of the market, even before becoming member states.

19% of those offered in the region will be taken by 2027. We are at the beginning of a radical and rapid change in the Western Balkans.
