Vangjel Tavo konfirmohet në krye të bashkisë Himarë, pasi Kolegji Zgjedhor ka rrëzuar padinë e opozitës.

Sali Berisha and PBDNJ of Vangjel Dules appealed the result of the elections, demanding that they be declared invalid, due to the irregularities alleged by them.

One of these irregularities, according to the complaint, was that many voters' identity cards had expired, and therefore they found it impossible to vote.

Tavo was declared the winner with over 1,400 votes over the candidate of the "Bashke Fitomje" coalition, Petro Gjikuria.

DECISION:

Komisioni i Ankimimeve dhe Sanksioneve (KAS), me Vendimin Nr.19 Dt.26.08.2024, objekt i kërkesëpadive, ka vendosur:

"1. Dismissal of appeal request no. 11, dated 09.08.2024, filed by the "Together We Win" coalition electoral entity.

2. The enforcement of decision no. 85, dated 05.08.2024 of KZAZ no. 88, Vlora District "For the approval of the Summary Table of Results for the election of the Mayor of Himare". This decision enters into force immediately and is published on the official website of the Central Election Commission. Based on point 1 of article 145 of the Electoral Code, an appeal can be made against this

1 Based on the interim decision of joining the two cases. the decision in the Judicial Electoral College at the Administrative Court of Appeal, within 5 days of its announcement, according to the definition of point 2 of article 152 of the Electoral Code". Whereas, Complaint No. 11 Dt. 09.08.2024, submitted by the "Together We Win" Coalition to the Appeals and Sanctions Commission (KAS), had as its object:

“1. Kundërshtim i Vendimit nr.85, datë 05.08.2024 “Për miratimin e Tabelës Përmbledhëse të Rezultateve për Zgjedhjen e Kryetarit të Bashkisë Himarë në zgjedhjet e pjesshme të datës 04.08.2024”, të KZAZ nr. 88.

2. Pavlefshmërinë e zgjedhjeve të zhvilluara në të gjitha QV (gjithsej 36 QV- të) të zonës zgjedhore Bashkia Himarë.
3. Rregullimin e pasojave duke shpallur pavlefshmërinë e zgjedhjeve për bashkinë Himarë.”

The Judicial Electoral College, with Decision No. 5 Dt.09.09.2024, unanimously:
DECIDED
1. Dismissal of the lawsuit of the plaintiff party Coalition "We Win Together" and Party "Union for
Human Rights".
2. Court costs as incurred.
3. This decision is final and no appeal is allowed.
