Fatmir Mediu

The court session for the former minister, Fatmir Mediu, regarding the "Gërdeci" case, will be held this Friday at 10:00.

" The hearing for the former Minister of Defense, Fatmir Mediu, about the Gërdec explosion has started since 10:00. Also present at the session are family members injured by the explosion in Gërdec, meanwhile, Mediu himself is not present at today's session " - said the journalist of Euronea Albania, Sara Demushi.

In the last session, Mediu's lawyers requested the removal of the summary trial, while the court clarified that this request can only be made by the defendant, in this case the former minister himself.

According to Demushi's information, there were arguments in the session. The defense has requested 90 witnesses.

Meanwhile, the Special Prosecutor's Office opposes the waiver of the abbreviated trial with the argument that the legal conditions based on the unifying decision of the united panels of the Supreme Court do not exist.
