The confirmation of Gazment Bardhi as chairman of the DP parliamentary group has divided the blue headquarters.

The DP MP for the Vlora region, Bujar Leskaj, voted against the proposals for the party's parliamentary group.

Upon leaving the DP headquarters, Leskaj said he was against the election of Gazment Bardhi.

"I was against the chairman of the parliamentary group. I think that Doctor Berisha was wrong in this case, he was even seriously wrong!", said Leskaj,

Asked if this is a split with the DP, Leskaj replied:

"Why should I leave? I am a member of the Democratic Party." 

In addition to Bardhi as group leader, the DP elected Belind Këlliçi and Tomor Alizoti as vice-leaders.

Elda Hoti has been appointed secretary of the group, while Ledina Alolli has been appointed spokesperson.

Also, Agron Gjekmarkaj was confirmed as Deputy Speaker of the Assembly.
