All on the ground to organize the Democratic Party within this year. This appeal was made by the democratic chairman Lulzim Basha at today's meeting of the National Council, according to which the countdown has just started. He said that DP has wasted precious time dealing with the personal problems of some politicians (meaning Sali Berisha) and not with the problems of the people and the democrats, but according to him, this model has already ended with the September 2 assembly. According to Basha, the responsibility of the democrats is first to build the DP and then the future of the country.
"Big step for DP. The formation of DP structures gives impetus to our political action, which for a long time left the primary task of serving the Albanians, Albania and the democrats. We have not given up the responsibility that holds us together. When the noise of the crash becomes louder than the voice of reason we all lose. We wasted precious time dealing with problems that have nothing to do with people's concerns, but with the personal troubles of a few politicians who are ready to destroy the good of Albanians and democrats. This model is separated from the hypocrisy, incoherence and double standards that have alienated the citizen from politics. Democrats and all Albanians deserve a different model of attention to people and not obsessed with personal fate. A compassionate policy of the people who knows how to listen to them and will provide solutions to their problems. After the national assembly, the countdown has started for all of us. The national assembly of September 2 is a strong message for everyone. Clear about the responsibility they have to get the country out of the crisis it is in and to build a future, first of all, build our party by closing a prolonged cycle of intrigues and elbows".
As he spoke about the capacities and intellectuals left from PD due to the party's crisis. Basha extended the hand of cooperation to everyone to give their contribution and to normalize politics.
"Today we format the party's statutory forums. Everyone should see it as an opportunity and a test of how we should lead the political action of DP. For this to happen, we must do everything to overcome the crisis. A lot of individuality and capacity are not part of DP today, but we will be collaborators. Forums remain a rigid function if they do not absorb ideas and vision. It is an open and continuous process. We will reach out to intellectuals, professionals, entrepreneurs, young men and women to give their contribution to normalize politics to build a bridge of hope and trust from today to tomorrow. This is our dedication, a DP that will serve the interests of the people, for the children of Albanians, for the recovery from the collapse of health for better wages and dignified lives of Albanian families,
Basha mentioned being close to people and their problems as the main priority, proving it with evidence
"It is up to us to prove that we have left the obsession with chairs to others, we prioritize being close to people and their concerns. It is our duty to prove that we are on their side by serving the public interest. The partial elections in Kukës are also proof of the costs. For a long time we were at war with each other. It is the last time that PD has no candidates in the elections, we must be on the ground to rebuild the party".
According to Basha, the reorganization of the party will not overlap the work to be a frontal opposition and the voice of truth.
"The organization of the party, of the Democrats, is work that will not overlap with our duty to be the voice of the truth. Within two months, the organizational structure of DP will take full shape according to the stipulations of September 2. The National Council will be on site. By the end of the year, let's give the democrats and the Albanians a renewed structure, a program ready to face the public interest. And ready to face the next challenge of parliamentary elections. This is a race against time but it will not overlap with our duty to be the voice of truth and the frontal and uncompromising opposition to this government. The makeup they did to Rama's government does not hide the truth that Albanians have a corrupt government. This wrongdoing every day more and more the country is slipping into the centralized economy of the oligarchs,
At the end of his speech, Basha expressed unconditional support for SPAK.
"Unconditional support for SPAK, Albanians expect and deserve justice. This national council and the DP group and the entire DP cannot but prioritize the electoral reform to give the Albanians a parliament that they choose themselves".
