The meeting of the Council of Mandates and Immunity called by members of the DP was boycotted by the Socialist Party.

In a statement to journalists, the chairman of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, said that the 3-week deadline to give Balluk time has expired.

According to him, the Speaker of the Assembly, Niko Peleshi, should explain why he is not convening the Council to review SPAK's request for the arrest of Belinda Balluku.

Bardhi: With full responsibility dictated by the situation and as members of the mandates council, the 5 members of this council requested a council meeting to follow up on SPAK's request for the lifting of Belinda Balluku's immunity.

Our request is based on the Assembly's regulation, which should be the only legal document.

The Chairman has the duty to announce the Council meeting and the agenda. Today marks three weeks since SPAK requested permission to arrest Balluk, and today marks three weeks since SP members are hiding as those who have violated the law.

This is an unprecedented act, where the council takes 3 weeks to review a request.

Defendant Balluku has requested 3 weeks to review the evidence. Meanwhile, Rama himself said that the lawyer and Balluku have not received the materials.

On the one hand, it said part of what was on the USB, on the other hand, it said that none of us had retrieved the materials. The defendant asked for 3 weeks' time

"The 3-week deadline that they wanted to give Balluk time to celebrate the New Year at home and not in Pojska Prison has expired. The Speaker of the Assembly must explain why he is not calling the mandates council ," said Gazment Bardhi, among other things.
