The Assembly will convene today at 10:00 for the next plenary session, which is expected to be a marathon due to the reporting of justice institutions.
Initially, it is envisaged to establish Special Commissions for Electoral and Territorial Reform, for which the majority and the opposition have reached an agreement on equality between members, co-chairs and the acquisition of international expertise, where necessary.
Next on the agenda is the report of the head of the General Prosecutor's Office, Olsian Çela, on the state of crime for 2024. Next, Altin Dumani is expected to report on the activities of the Special Prosecutor's Office that he heads. Then, Artur Metani will report on the ILD, as well as the report of the KLGJ and KLP.
Gazment Bardhi will not be present after he was expelled for two weeks due to a clash in the previous session with the head of the Assembly, Niko Peleshi. The head of the DP Parliamentary Group has also sent a letter to Peleshi, asking him to avoid all provocations towards the deputies.
'Any unilateral change by the Assembly of the rights of minority deputies, or the 34-year-old interpretation of the Assembly's Rules of Procedure, is an attack on parliamentarism and annihilation of the rights of the parliamentary opposition, and consequently is and will be unacceptable for opposition deputies,' the letter from the DP group states.
