Fraud schemes with microcredits, Manja: We took away their license, but they
Ulsi Manja

The Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja, has sent the microcredit scandal to the Laws Committee in the Parliament.

After a question addressed by Damian Gjiknuri, who asked for more information from the minister regarding the scandal, Manja announced the steps he took to denounce the extortion of citizens.

In his speech, the minister informed that he pursued the case in a legal way, but encountered a problem. At least 11 executors whose license was revoked within a year could not get the file archives.

That is why he proposes to change the law so that bailiffs, like notaries, in case of license revocation, submit the files they have in their archives.

However, he emphasizes that he has addressed the scandal in all legal instances, revealing that there are currently 2 files. One is being investigated by the Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime, while the other is being investigated by the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana.

Gjiknuri : I am not saying that you should share with us the secrets of the investigation, one of these things is the issue that has affected many people, properties and undermines trust in financial institutions. Faith is falling, our faith in capitalism is falling.

Manja : I also come to the Law Commission and report on the recommendations of the KLP for the Prosecutor's Office. They are recommendations, after all, the government has its own vision for the fight against criminality and corruption.

In the end there are recommendations. It is an independent power. We, as a government, provide support and assistance. So we are a government that helps him, the Assembly probably has a role to play.

We try to bring these recommendations to justice. These new forms of crime. Yes, it is true that a large number of criminal offenses have been brought to the scene by some of the countries in Europe. Microcredit institutions and the enforcement service, I don't want to give too many details because there are currently 2 cases that are being prosecuted, one in the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana, one has been forwarded to SPAK, the other is still being investigated in the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana. I can say this, we have followed this problem with high priority. It has been one of my work priorities as a minister since day one. 11 licenses have been revoked for 1 year because I am not talking about the suspension.

In addition to the removal of the license, they were reported to the prosecutor's office. I have put myself at the disposal of the investigation so that this problem receives a legal answer because it has been weighing on the shoulders of citizens for years. The problem we have is that all these with revoked licenses have not even submitted the archives.

They are not made available to us. We want to change the law so that this is done as a notary office so that the ministry receives the files. In the Ministry of Justice, I found 6,000 files of a private enforcement company, of Zig, in the basements of the Ministry of Justice. I have addressed it as a legal problem.
