The collapse of the Korçë-Ersekë road

The head of the anti-corruption department, Marinela Ziu, has reacted to the collapse of the Korçë-Ersekë road.

In a reaction, Ziu said that the abuse of funds endangers the lives of citizens, while he called for SPAK to investigate.

FULL DENUNCIATION:
The collapse of the Korçë-Ersekë road had been warned for a long time, but no state body took the trouble to act to prevent not only its destruction, but even some human misfortune, being one of the roads with the highest traffic in the area south-east, in which the movement of vehicles is irresponsibly allowed despite the fact that it has not yet been completed and handed over by the development company.

The completion of this road has been promised since 2013, a promise that has been recycled for 10 years, and although it swallows millions of euros, not only is it not finished, but recently this road "went off the road" due to the very poor quality of the works from greed to steal, seriously endangering the health and lives of citizens.

The tendering of this road has been denounced since 2020 by the Democratic Party, due to clientelism, inflated value, its benefit within 100% of the limit fund, but also the delay in its completion. The two tenders of the second lot, divided into two parts, were won by the company ANK shpk, owned by the citizen Agim Kola, the brother of the former socialist deputy Ndue Kola, one of the clients of the government that has benefited from millions of euros in public contracts, among which and the 310 million euro concession of the Milot - Balldre road.

Another project left on the streets due to clientelistic benefit, and above all without having the appropriate funds for construction from the beneficiary company, in the same scheme as with the incinerators, as well as in the absence of its financing from the banks.
