The Chairman and Deputy of the Mundësia Party, Agron Shehaj, held an interpellation today in the Parliament with the Minister of Economy and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj, regarding the "Durana" Virtual Technology Park project.

In his speech, Shehaj stated that the project was initially presented as a technology park that would attract local and foreign investors for the development of startups and innovative businesses, benefiting from full fiscal incentives, including zero tax on profits and salaries.

He said that the project was promoted as a model similar to "Silicon Valley", but according to him, it was not physically realized and was then transformed into a virtual park.

During the interpellation, Shehaj asked the minister several specific questions, requesting information on the number of companies registered in "Durana Park", how many of them are linked to persons wanted or accused of criminal offenses, and how much these companies have benefited from fiscal incentives, including exemption from profit tax and payroll tax.

He also requested information on whether the Ministry has identified companies that do not meet legal criteria and whether measures have been taken to exclude them from the project.

" You promised the citizens that for this purpose we must promise foreign and domestic investors that they will not pay taxes, zero taxes because this is the only way for them to go and invest in Durana Park. You told the Albanians that you will pay taxes, they will not pay. This was the project that you advertised.

This is the reality (takes out the photo), a field with cows. You didn't give up, you said we couldn't do this physically but we could do it virtually, and you and your colleague, the director of the Investment Corporation, agreed to do it virtually.

Coincidentally, a month before applications for businesses to register virtually opened, Ermal Beqiri created an association with businesses in the field of technology. Beqiri, the plenipotentiary of AKSHI tenders. And as if by chance, most of the businesses registered in this, were registered in Durana Park. 46 businesses were registered virtually, and of which, 2/3 are Beqiri's , "said Shehaj.
