Prime Minister Edi Rama has highly appreciated the importance of the European Political Community Summit, which took place for the first time in Tirana, describing it as a clear sign of Albania's and the region's commitment to the European continent and its fundamental values.
In a statement to the media, Rama said that the summit showed the will to keep together the values and principles that guide European societies.
"I am truly pleased to say that today in Tirana we have a renewed commitment to our continent and our citizens, to hold together the values and principles that guide our societies, to do everything we have to make it possible to preserve our values and principles. By protecting our citizens and the future of Europe.
We discussed how we will move forward, for more investments in innovation, to invest more in those areas of Europe that belong to that political community and for those countries that do not yet belong to the EU. The day has been fruitful. We had many discussions. In the end, there were many interesting discussions and we decided that we will have a coordinating team of the EPC in the office of the President of the European Council", said Rama.
