Today, the Electoral College recounts 18 ballot boxes in the Municipality of Kuçova.
Mayor Kreshnik Hajdari and the candidate of "Bashke Fitomje" on May 14, Lefter Maliqi, are present at the session.
The latter had a debate with the secretary of the CEC, Ylli Merkaj. Maliqi claims that the CEC has not made available the necessary documentation it requested.
"You say that to me? Thief. You are a thief. Who called him? Thief. When the court wants, let the court summon him. Who do you teach? You teach me that I was a police officer for 25 years, a member of the Security Commission for 7 years? What am I here for? In order to protect democracy, I am not here to steal", Maliqi can be heard saying.
The Electoral College decided 1 week ago to recount 18 ballot boxes in the Municipality of Kuçova. The decision was taken after the complaint of the "Together We Win" coalition and the candidate Lefter Maliqi.
Lefter Maliqi had earlier addressed the Complaints and Sanctions Commission, where he requested the dismissal of the decision of the Kuçova Economic and Social Development Committee, which declared the socialist candidate Kreshnik Hajdari the winner in the elections of May 14, accusing the opponent of buying votes.
Maliqi raised allegations of group voting as well as irregularities by the members of the voting centers. The elections brought out the winner Kreshnik Hajdari of the SP with 682 votes difference with Lefter Maliq.
