The ambassador of the European Union in Tirana, Christiane Hohmann, will leave her post early at the end of this summer.

Hohmann will return to the German Foreign Service where he is expected to take another senior post in the diplomatic service.

Since August 2, 2022, Christiane Hohmann has been in our country as the ambassador of the European Union Delegation.

Previously, she was Germany's ambassador to Estonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and held several other senior positions in the diplomatic service.

The departure of the German diplomat leaves the post of EU ambassador in Tirana vacant. Most likely, Hohmann's replacement is expected to be named in the fall.
