With the votes of the majority, the amendments of 9 democratic deputies on health, with the focus on the "Mother Teresa" University Hospital Center, were defeated in the Assembly.

In the PD amendment, it was requested "to open a special fund for the purchase of a PET Scanner device and two accelerator devices in QSUT, Tirana. The special fund envisages to include the expenses for the maintenance and for the purpose of uninterrupted operation of the equipment. This fund is detailed and used by decision of the Council of Ministers".

It was also proposed to increase the medicine funds of the Oncology Hospital, with no less than 15 million additional euros.

In another amendment, the Democratic Party demanded a 50% increase in funds for reimbursable drugs with an additional 60 million euros.

DP AMENDMENTS:

1. Increase by 1% of the GDP of the health budget (gradual increase by 1% every year) - Tritan Shehu

2. Suspension of budget payments for three PPPs in health (except dialysis) - Albana Vokshi

3. The addition of the fund of 1 billion lek for tumor bags - Albana Vokshi (fell)

4. Addition of 0.5 billion ALL for LMC reimbursement - Albana Vokshi (fell)

5. Increase by 10% of the salaries of the entire public administration (except the salaries of senior managers) - Sorina Koti

6. Increase by 20% of salaries in health - Sorina Koti


7. Increase in funds for Oncology drugs (10% of alcohol excise duty, no less than 15 million additional euros) - Zheni Gjergji (fell)

10. Increase by 50% of funds for reimbursable drugs (additional 60 million euros) - Zheni Gjergji (fell)
