Prime Minister Edi Rama is not only convinced of sending satellites into space, but he says with ambition that we will get armed drones.
The prime minister describes the satellite as "an eye that sees everything" and says that thanks to it we can create a complete data base.
"With the satellites, it will no longer be possible to build floors without permission, because the satellites will be able to see every volume raised on the surface of the earth.
We will be able to monitor all crops. It will be easy for the Ministry of Agriculture to identify and certify all crops. You will no longer come with a title to a land that you have never worked and come looking for oil.
We will create a database that will allow us to do a lot of analysis, in terms of programming for tomorrow. We will have conclusions much faster than observing with the eyes. The same for fires, deforestation, monitoring rivers.
According to the Prime Minister, very soon, armed drones will be added to our fleet:
"With the new developments, we have decided to get armed drones that are for extreme cases against terrorism or a potential enemy, but the drones have a set of functions in complementarity, being in constant dynamics, making reconciliations or deepening the data, even the drones very quickly will be available.
It has not been an easy process, several institutions have been engaged in coordination with the Ministry of Defense. Since the coming year our position in the war of complete control of the monitor. The Albanian state is stronger with these instruments," said Rama.
