Socialist leader Edi Rama gave the final guidelines before the socialist parliamentary group on how the final list of candidates for deputies in the May 11 parliamentary elections will take shape.
Analyzing the formula revealed by Edi Rama in the closed list with 46 seats in 12 districts, in the safe zone to become MPs, there will be a total of 9 political leaders, since for 3 districts, Durrës, Berat and Shkodra, they are led by mayors. Like the political leader of the diaspora, Taulant Balla.

The remaining 35 seats on the closed list will be filled with current female MPs, new figures from the government cabinet, the "Deputy We Want" platform, and the Diaspora.
Excluding the male political leaders on the closed list, all MPs with one mandate or more, practically all male SP MPs will be on the battlefield of the open list. The competition will thus be not only with the political opponent, but also within the socialist family.
There are 39 current male MPs running on the open list, whether they will be selected by political leaders or if any of them will say no to Rama's decision to run on the open list.

It remains to be seen whether Rama's formula will also be applicable to senators with three mandates such as Erion Braçe, Fatmir Xhafaj, Pandeli Majko, Petro Koçi, Paulin Sterkaj or Damian Gjiknuri.
Rama himself indicated that he has not yet decided whether he will run for MP in the May 11 parliamentary elections./TCH
